Introduction to The Makeup Detectives
Our names are Kathy and Lynn. We met over 10 years ago while working as makeup artists in a large department store in upstate New York. Our mutual obsession with all things beautiful and passion for the makeup industry has shaped our lives in countless ways. We began Makeup Detectives to help everyone unlock the mysteries of beauty.
In our posts we will share makeup tips, tricks and product knowledge as well as lifestyle advice that we hope will inspire all of you. Kathy will also share her thoughts on skincare, fashion and her love of handbags. Lynn will focus on fine arts, culture, health and wellness.
Lynn currently works for MAC and has previously worked for Lancome, Chanel and Laura Mercier. She holds a Masters degree in Exhibition Designs/Museum Studies from California State University Fullerton and is pursuing a certificate in Fitness and Nutrition. Kathy is a Freelance Makeup Artist who worked in cosmetics full time for 7 years with Clarins, Clinique, Lancome, and Estee Lauder. Kathy is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree in Psychology.
